I grew up with some great comedians to watch[1] like Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, and Robin Williams.
When I was an adult, though, Dave Chappelle was the standard bearer for the type of comedy I liked.
Later, I found George Carlin on YouTube and while all these guys are funny as fuck in their own right, Bill Burr is definitely the best to do it since Carlin.
I was a child at the time but sometimes I'd get to sneak and see Richard Pryor or Eddie Murphy at a friend's house. ↩︎
